How I can help

Therapy that helps you understand yourself and your experiences.

Whether you are experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, trauma or feeling stuck in familiar patterns, therapy can help you gain greater understanding of yourself — and find new ways of moving forward that feel meaningful and sustainable.

Common areas of support

What we might work on together

You don’t need to arrive with the right words or a tidy explanation. These are some of the areas clients bring — but whatever is going on for you is welcome here.

Anxiety and stress

Understanding what fuels worry and overwhelm, and finding steadier ground.

Low self-esteem and confidence

Softening a harsh inner voice and rebuilding a kinder sense of self.

Trauma and adverse life experiences

Working gently with difficult experiences, including how they are held in the body.

Relationship difficulties

Making sense of recurring patterns and the way we connect with others.

Couples counselling

A shared space to be heard, understand each other, and step out of old cycles.

Communication difficulties

Learning to express needs and listen in ways that actually land.

Shame and self-criticism

Meeting the parts of ourselves we find hardest with more compassion.

Anger and emotional regulation

Understanding strong feelings and finding room to respond, not just react.

Bereavement and loss

Space to grieve and to carry loss in a way that feels bearable.

Life transitions and change

Support through the in-between moments when life is shifting shape.

Two ways I work

Tailored to the individual or the couple

Individual counselling

A supportive space to explore thoughts, feelings and experiences at a pace that feels comfortable. My particular interests include trauma, anxiety, self-esteem and the connection between emotional wellbeing and the body.

Couples counselling

A systemic approach that explores patterns of interaction within the relationship, and how these are shaped by family experiences, culture, beliefs and life history — especially helpful when you feel caught in cycles of conflict, blame or misunderstanding.

This systemic way of working isn’t only for romantic partners. It can also help with family relationships, parent and adult-child relationships, friendships and workplace relationships where patterns of communication or conflict have become hard to navigate.
